Has the Official CompTIA Instructor/Student Guide eBook been replaced by CompTIA CertMaster Study?

Today, I visited the CompTIA Store to purchase the Network+ Instructor Guide eBook, but I found that this product is no longer available in the store. I noticed a new product, CompTIA Network+ CertMaster Study, priced the same as the original eBook, and it’s the same for other courses as well. Can someone explain this to me? If I want the official slides for instructors, which are typically included in the Instructor Guide eBook, where can I purchase or access them now?

That's correct. As CompTIA phases in updates to certifications, their offerings for traditional eBooks are being phased out. Tech+ and Net+ were the first, but with each new release, those offerings will be unavailable for the new certs.

If you are in need of a traditional textbook, yet, you'll have to look at products from publishers like Cengage, Pearson, Sybex, or McGraw Hill. There are a number of authors that follow this community that are still out there writing.

I don't think the original question was answered. I read the OQ as "is the certmaster ebook the same as the original and will it include the slide deck i am looking for". I don't think the question was looking for a printed book. I may be wrong, but I think it was a yes/no question.

I just looked at the instructor version of Network+ CertMaster Study. It does come with the powerpoint slides.

To download the slides, select the three dots next to the course title, then select "Resources".

That's too bad because most students don't like CertMaster at all. CompTIA is pushing people towards other providers.

I've talked to a couple other authors and providers out there - and they're actually quite alright with that.
