Is the CertMaster content enough to pass SecurityX exam

I've got 25 years IT experience and over 16 specializing in security, so I'm not coming into this completely ignorant. But in taking the unit quizzes and practice exam in CertMaster, the questions seem way different than the material I've been studying the last couple months. I'm also going through the TTT recordings now but that seems in line with the CM material.
Are the exercises relevant for the test? Also, is there a better alternative for learning what I need to pass the exam?
Thanks in advance!

I can’t speak directly for SecurityX, but I used CertMaster a few years back to see how well it would help for Security+ and dabbled with some of the other demos through the TTT program. In my experience, it’s solid for reinforcing concepts, but on its own I feel it wouldn’t have fully prepared me for the style of exam questions.

What helped bridge that gap was adding some 3rd party practice exam content and looking up specific topics through videos (udemy and youtube are excellent for this) or other resources when something didn’t fully click. CertMaster lines up well with the content, but the exam questions for SecurityX tend to be more wordy and scenario-driven, with strong distracting answer options. Not all of the information provided in the questions will be needed as assumed knowledge of prior certs in the pathway is higher. It expects you to pick and choose what specific information is needed to come to the answer more so than any of the other certs.

With your background, you’ve already got a strong foundation. I’d focus on going through the exam objectives and acronyms to identify any weak spots and getting exposure to different question styles. If you’re familiar with CompTIA exams in general, that alone will make the experience a lot smoother.
