Good Afternoon Cinners!

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend and are ready for a productive week. A colleague asked if CompTIA is moving toward Master level certifications. He advised that a colleague of his shared this information.

Is there any truth to this?

Lastly, where can I access documentation on the Security+ 701 outline and the CYSA+ CSO-003

Thanks.

Yes, CompTIA is going forward with the Xpert series:

  • SecurityX - This is a rebranding of the CASP+. Security cert.
  • DataX - Expert certification for Data Science
  • CloudNetX - Networking, hybrid IT infrastructures and architecture.

I wish they had not decided to rebrand CASP+. It was just starting to get some name recognition in the industry and rebranding it will confuse hiring managers.
I'd say they are trying to further leverage the word "Security." I agree...CompTIA will have a lot of work updating the CASP+ brand/requirement to SecurityX.
