I've heard that one before - it's a good way to prioritize so you don't go stark raving mad trying to be an expert in every single thing. Keeps one humble.I just try to be competent at a lot of things, good at a few things, and great at one thing.
Anything more than that is icing on the cake.
I'm not too sure what I'm great at, though...I think it's like a D&D character sheet...I spread my ability points more evenly, as a generalist, versus having an 18 in something and an 8 as a dump stat. (He's really REALLY sharp (INT 16, WIS 18), but he's so ugly, he can be a modern art masterpiece (CHA 8).
