It is possible but it depends on your reasoning. If you have any supporting documentation, you will need to provide that. A letter of motivation could also help.
A voucher is typically valid for one year. I've never heard of a voucher extension.
Like others have pointed out. In all my years of taking certification exams, I am yet to see a case where the expiration date of an exam voucher has been successfully extended. Best bet is to write the exam by the expiration date at the very latest.
Hi, I’ve not seen any information confirming that expired exam vouchers have been extended. However, I have seen a similar situation with a colleague. He contacted customer service and explained his genuine circumstances, providing medical evidence. As a result, they issued him a new voucher that allowed him to take the exam.
Because the original voucher had a specific expiry date, they said it could not be overridden.

I think this is probably the solution. I do believe that CompTIA can work with extenuating circumstances - although I can also see something like this getting abused very quickly.
It happened one time for me but wasn't planned. I had the exam scheduled just a couple days before the voucher expired, then the testing center had some issues. They had me reschedule for a later date after resolving their issues. But I've not seen a situation where the candidate can request an extension.

I already tried the trick of scheduling the exam for a date before it expired and then rescheduling it for later. The platform simply wouldn't accept it... ;-D
