I've contemplated on whether to respond to this thread, but ultimately what helps promote progress and moves us forward is the ability to provide perspective. What I didn't see in any of the posts is anyone with direct military experience. I served in the Navy for 22 years. As a retired Information Systems Technician Chief (ITC) I can tell you that a lot of what you're seeing is a culture that has been built over the course of the last 20 years. The Cyber Security Workforce Framework was thrown on the military without the proper foundational elements, so what you ended up with is people being force-fed information that they didn't really comprehend just to satisfy the prerequisite requirements to get the certifications. The understanding was that the real "on the job training" would happen once they were at their commands by Subject Matter Experts. I know this because I lived it. There are shortcomings throughout the process, but unfortunately, it's not going to change because the end results are satisfying the mission expectations.

For SecurityX Cert. you need 75 Points. for Cysa 60
That counts for all Exams below, except Cloud.

I think passing the Exam SecurityX befor Dec. is the best way. it is not harder then Security + (imho). Just a little bit more Top down Approche...


Or you apply the Hours for the TTT of SecurityX to the CySA Renewal. (that will not get you to the 60 Points).

Depending on how much time you have for your Course, and what students wanna do. It may up to you a Trainer, to recomment Labs or not.
Having to many Labs may not as bad has having not so many..

Make your own Plan for your Course timings. Do not rely on others.

Did you not tell him, to use a private, personal Email Account and not a School or employee Account for his SSO Data?
One of the First things i tell students, when they need to sign up for CompTIA or other Vendors. Don`t you do that?

As Rick mentioned, he should contact support.
And have proof of the old account

Each TTT contains in the Beginning the Rules to recieve a Voucher for participating in the TTT.
Usually they are:
- Watch all or most of the Sessions
- Wacht them online or shortly after the TTT (Deadline)
- Be a acitve, registered Member of CIN
- Use the same Email for the TTT as for CIN.
IF you do not match these, there will be no voucher available. (Watching the TTT some Months later). Then you have to pay for the Voucher by yourself or ask your CompTIA BCM if they can help you.
But this is answered some many times, if you use the search function, you would have seen, that this is already answered in detail over the years.
CompTIA may change the rules for TTT Vouchers anytime,..

Why using all caps Letters (= Shouting in the Forum). Why u cry like a baby to get something that is not something you can request as you wish, instead it is granted for Free other Conditions from CompTIA to Trainers. There i no process to be certifiered as a CompTIA Trainer. You may teach a course without passing the Exam. It is no requirement by CompTIA. So, to not spread Fake News here. Read in the Forum, everything you wrote about, is answered a few hundert times...

A Voucher with Experation Date for you (not to resell or gift to someone else) for that TTT Course. Nothing more or less.. Should be mentioned in the Beginning of the TTTs

My Suggestion is: go through the Exam Objectives and check , to which Term you know what it means and what not. Then you know,, what you need to reread.

Dependes on you. You can Take the official Exam or not. There is no TTT Voucher available for this Version, since that did run last year.

I just know when I was there it was shutting down it looked like but maybe they decided to keep it going. Would have to see.

Yes @Rick Butler with teams, zoom or other virtual tools you can take control of one screen and assist at anytime. @imsrj.cse I hope this helps.

I don't think there is a native function for this. You'd have to coordinate a third-party solution, perhaps using Teams or Zoom that allows for a screen share.
