Courseware Question

CompTIA products are copyrighted. You have to generate your own content. There is no problem with extrapolating (in my own opinion...but I'm no lawyer). You can use what you learn from CompTIA as a guide, but I wouldn't personally give access to their content and their branding, logos, etc.

Exactly...quality over quantity. The other thing is post TTT training. If your really serious and dig. I'm still working through the Linux+ Certmaster course, because I'm genuinely trying to focus on expertise, not just pump students through like a cash cow. The more I know, the better I teach and the greater the outcomes for my students.

Courseware Question

Well, to me, I would probably say they have to get their own licensure for any CompTIA copyrighted products since your access to them would be under the 'another company' s EULA. I would probably bring this up with your Business Development Manager. If they have their own partner status with CompTIA, then they should be able to acquire the same materials as you are able.

TTT voucher woes

Ahh thank you for looping us in, it also happened to one of us, with the same DataX voucher failing to redeem, later finding out that they sent a duplicate Cloud plus voucher as DataX voucher. I would suggest you compare that voucher with other vouchers you received around the time, it might also happen to be.

Can I pick your brains for a minute?

And before you suggest it--I've already reached out to Stephen, so no need to suggest this. But I figured y'all might be able to help me solve this issue to lighten the load on Stephen a bit. :giggle:

I'm trying to use my DataX TTT voucher that expires Nov 30. Went to register to take the exam on Nov 24, but when I entered the voucher, I got an error message:

Discount validation failed.​
  • This voucher cannot be used with this exam.
Any ideas what might be wrong or how/if I could fix this? I've triple checked to confirm I'm using the correct voucher for the correct exam.

I beleive the CTT is gone for good and a return maybe have a 0% Chance (imho). The Reason (already posted in different Threads) are that not enough did the Exam ( i never heard it running in Germany)
The Costs where to high, the External Review Process consuming and maybe not efficient.
Who still recognizes the CTT? I did take it, because it expired and is good for life. Did i need it really? No, Was it worth it? Not really.

So, there are other Topics in IT World that promise more revenue for Course / Exams then a new CTT.
So, still i believe, that ship has sailed.

A lot here are also MCT as well, or where at some Point. How Microsoft handels this Programm changes every 2-3 year at least. The Fee does not prevent to many becoming an MCT. Do not forget, CompTIA would need to implement the Programm with Process, Personal and Reviewing all that Stuff? If that is worth it? And in Case you teach on a public School, you may have also to prove your Teaching Skills anyway..


Even CompTIA never required CompTIA Trainers to have the CTT as prerequisit.. Ever thought about that?
