SecAI+: Have we discussed this yet?

I didn't see a forum for this cert yet, so posting here instead.

CompTIA has posted pre-draft objectives for a new cert: CompTIA SecAI+. Anyone seen these yet? Thoughts? I'm definitely interested and looking forward to this one.

How to keep CompTIA (A+, N+, & S+, CySA+) certifications active

Just to note that this method won't renew certs that are not part of the cyber and core tracks. So if you have Cloud+, for example, you either need CEUs and current member fees or take the updated exam.

Passing SecurityX provides 25 CEUs for Cloud+. Passing CySA+ or passing PenTest+ provides 33 CEUs for Cloud+. Cloud+ only requires 50 CEUs for renewal.

The fastest way to renew your CySA+ is to take the most current version, assuming you don't already have it, or pass the SecurityX exam, which renews all of the certifications you mentioned.

Instructor created labs?

Try Cisco’s GNS3 or Cisco CML as they have pre-configured templates for fast demo... Packet tracer short custom
Cisco does not make or own GNS3.

@Tom.G : unless you're going to actually go out and buy all the hardware, you will need some simulator. That can be Packet Tracer, it can be GNS3, it could be EveNG.

All simulators will have a learning curve.

If you don't want a simulator, either buy all the hardware or find another trainer who's willing to buy and run the hardware to provide a lab as a service. Yes, these latter also exist.

Authorized partner list is gone?

CompTIA is reworking what used to be the "partner portal". I believe the new changes will have an updated list of training partners. We should see changes soon, from what I hear.
Thanks for the update!

Reason why I asked is because a certain YouTuber was known to have exam dumps or copyrighted materials on their channel, but at the same time claims to be CompTIA authorized partner. I wanted to doublecheck a few things.

CIN TTT Series: Cloud+ CV0-004

Hello @Fonseca, I can take a look into this for you. There are several reasons you may not have received a voucher. I will DM you in I have any questions.
Hi Stephen
Can you also advise what happened as well with me. I attended the Cloud+ and Tech+ series last year but haven't received my vouchers.

CompTIA Instructors & Mentors Needed (Remote – Flexible Schedule)

Hi Ronald,

Thank you! I'll send you a link to setup an interview.
Hi Eddie,

I am currently doing "CIN TTT Series: PenTest+ PT0-003" training and technically I have no Comptia certs at the moment as it will be my first to start. However I am an authorized trainer for almost similar courses with Cisco Networking Academy which are not limited to: CCNA, Cybersecurity Associate, CCNP ENCOR, CCNP ENARSI, Linux, Network Security & Cybersecurity essentials to highlight. I have been training since 2008, may I be considered for the instructor role for similar subjects. I have greater experience & knowledge.

Thanks

How to keep CompTIA (A+, N+, & S+, CySA+) certifications active

If you have those four and they are all still active, you only have to renew the CySA+ and it will cascade down and renew the others. CySA+ requires 60 CEUs in a three-year span in order to renew the cert.

The fastest way to renew your CySA+ is to take the most current version, assuming you don't already have it, or pass the SecurityX exam, which renews all of the certifications you mentioned.

How to keep CompTIA (A+, N+, & S+, CySA+) certifications active

I need help in keeping my CompTIA certifications active. They have been active for a while now. I know I must renew them before three years to keep them valid.

I believe the only way to keep them active is to pass CySA+ or Pentest+, according to the CompTIA website. Is that correct, or is there another way to renew my certifications? I have been doing a lot of research lately on this but still not having satisfactory answers.

I need the right procedure to get this done.

Instructor created labs?

Yes it's possible depending on objectives that you have, for examples:
  • 2 routers to simulate inter-network communication
  • 2 switches to connect multiple devices
  • 4 hosts PCs to test connectivity
  • 1 DHCP server for dynamic IP assignment
Sorry to be dense, but I don't know where you can accomplish the above. It sounds like a good environment.
