Passed Pentest + 780 / 750

Passed PT0 -002: 780 / 750 this morning

My Story after passing Security + 701 on 7th March 2024 with 780 / 750 score, I bought the Pentest + CompTIA Certmaster Learning, Labs, Practice Questions and Exam Voucher on 10th March 2024 and immediately, started Studying and gave my self a target to write exam today on 27th March 2024. I had to put more hours on the resources and am glad to inform that I managed to pass. These exams are not simple, they require more effort. I get inspiration from CIN's encouragements and Discussions.

Now I want to try CySA 003

You have to love those CompTIA CEUs!

I recently passed the AWS Solution Architect Associate exam. Two days later I received a heads up email message from CompTIA that one of my certifications was 180 days from expiration. I submitted the email from AWS for CEUs via Certmetrics and was very, very pleasantly surprised to receive follow up email from CompTIA that the AWS certification was applied to both Cloud+ and Linux+.

I've always been a fan of CEUs but I have to give a big positive shout out to the Certmetrics team for the quick and thorough turn around.

About that AWS Solution Architect Associate exam; I studied for 3 months and failed my first attempt (by 20 points). Passed 10 days later. That was one tough exam.

Passed Comptia Security + 701

I passed SY0 - 701 with 780 /750 this morning

My story:
Last year I initially had registered to go for SY0 601 and was studying material related to this, then this year come early February resorted to 701, going through the last year 701 TTT resources. I changed from 601 to 701 because of the discussions within this forum, for the need to be 701 certified to teach 701 students. used CERT MASTER Learning, and practice questions

I thank you all for the discussions and support including Peter Hanwith-horden (My SY0 601 trainer, etc)

This is My first Certification, apart from my academic qualifications like MSc in Computer Security and Forensics (Distinction)- UK, BSc IT, BA HRM, Dip. Accounting. and some experience (18 years in Handson IT including Lecturing at Universities, pentest, Networks, software development).

Now going to try Pentest +, your support will be appreciated

I really appreciate

CertMaster Learn + Labs vs Testout for Security+ (SY0-701)

Hi,

I am currently evaluating two products for student use in our blended learning program, which combines independent learning with face-to-face sessions.

I'd really like to get your opinions on which product you or your students prefer and why, or if both are suitable options.

Your insights and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Steve

CompTIA Product Team Survey

The CompTIA Product Development team is looking for feedback from the CIN community! They have asked if I could post the following request. Please take a few minutes and respond to their survey.

We've had requests from instructors to be able to do testing using a locked-down browser. If you have experience using locked-down browsers, please take a few minutes to answer this 4-question survey about your experience. Thank you!

Passed CompTIA CySA+!

I am glad to report I passed CompTIA CySA+ today. I set a high bar for myself by taking the CySA+ rather than the Security+ and my score was just barely above passing, but a passing grade is a passing grade, right? :D

Alas, I never did get the two vouchers that were promised to me for attending the Security+ and CySA+ Train-the-Trainer sessions, but a co-worker of mine was able to get me a voucher through another contact they had at CompTIA. So if you're still waiting, maybe try another avenue or bug a colleague with good connections!

  • Question
Delay/Lag on Linux VMs

G'day All,

Wondering if anyone else experiences a lag on labs that use Linux VM's and if there was a fix.
I've noted this myself and several of my learners pointed out the same issue to me on my last course as it caused them a bit of frustration. The Windows VMs are fine but in the Linux VMs the mouse movement lags just enough to make things annoying. Not sure where the machines are hosted. -We are logging in from Australia which might be the issue (But why not for the windows machines?). Note that internet connections, speed, quality are all fine and tested from different locations with different networks. It's consistent and with the Linux VM's. Also I noted this on Sec+ labs and Network+ labs.

Thanks for any suggestions.
