PearsonVue / OnVue problems June 2024

This is part of my issue too - I have better internet via my cell phone provider but they insist that I use the ethernet, and won't let me tether my cell phone so it can act as ethernet (the phone has to be out of reach) so I have had to go back to on-site exams.
Funnily enough I *did* end up taking LPI through OnVue via mobile connection... The testing tool said my 20Mbit wired connection was too slow, so I pulled that one and forced my router to fallback to its 5G connection which got approved :D

Where are the lab answers for each certmaster network + lab?

hello David, This is how TestOut designed their simulations. I've used TestOut LabSim for 5+ years. CompTIA purchased their platform last year and now the new CertMaster Perform blends the best of both. The notes on the left are directions to follow. So if a student sees "Wireshark" - they click on the Wireshark icon or search for it. Then go to the next step and so on. The idea is to use the computers as if walking into a small business "set up."

As an instructor, I usually do these with my students the first time as a demonstration and then have them complete the lab. If you really want to have full instructions - go into the lab, do nothing except answer the questions, correctly or not and then click score. Full instructions then become available.

Sometimes with difficult labs, I print out the instructions in advance. I like the fact that the "instructions are hidden" because it allows for some experimentation and failure as part of the learning experience. If a student has everything correct all the time by following step-by-step instructions they may not grasp the full extent of real-world application. Some students find it defeating, others find it exhilarating.
Hi LynW,

Thank you very much.

Appreciate the explanation

5.1.10 Lab: Cisco Troubleshooting Tools - wrong answer Q#8

Good day! Has anyone done the lab re: 5.1.10 Lab: Cisco Troubleshooting Tools from TestOut Labs for Network+?

One of the tasks says "Test the connection from SFO router to Wrk1".
As you can see in the screenshot, the ping is successful.

So we answer the question:

1720828692169.png

But when we check the answers, it will say that we answered it wrong.
1720828722927.png

Per checking, the answer that it is looking for is 0 (zero). What???

I hope someone from CompTIA and/or TestOut can fix this erratum.

CA1-005: CompTIA SecurityX Certification Beta Exam

Soooo... I sat the new CompTIA SecurityX beta cert last night.

Okay, here are my thoughts:

1. 117 questions, with plenty of time.

2. I had 4 PBQs, but was not too sure what to do on one of them.

3. I felt the multiple-choice questions were fair, some with choose (2) answers. Not bad.

4. All questions, from what I remember, are application scenarios. That is expected at this level.

5. I was tired at the end of the exam and was ready for a cold beer!

6. Who knows if I passed! If not, I will try again. I currently have the 003 version of CASP+.

All-in-all, CompTIA did a great job on this exam. If you are pursuing cybersecurity, I encourage you to learn this material and test your knowledge. I feel this certification compliments CISSP and other related cybersecurity certifications.

Keep at it, folks! Don't give up!

PearsonVue / OnVue problems June 2024

please what is going with this bad information.
Please enough of this complain is too much, those in charge should do the needful.
I am using this median to plead with our coordinator (Mr. Stephen and Mr. Rick) to intervene so that they can do their exam successfully.

PearsonVue / OnVue problems June 2024

I had same problem in June with booking tests and it look like it been solved now so fingers crossed 🤞 it stays that way.

Ps. Issues with kicking out for connection is difficult issue as even the person taking the test has a backup line it is not allowed so if anyone is interrupt by the ISP then unfortunately the test subject will be regarded as not in compliance.

CIN TTT Series - CompTIA Network+ N10-009 ( Access to CompTIA Instructor Guide for N10-009 Certification)

@Stephen Schneiter

Will there be access to the CompTIA instructor guide for N10-009 during our current train-the-trainer sessions?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
I know they're working on that. Stay tuned.
