Cybersecurity Roles in USA For Irish Citizen / EU Passport Holder

Hi all

I’ve a unique question I’m wondering if anyone knows any companies in the USA Hiring Irish citizens for Cybersecurity roles I have over 15 years experience with 150+ qualifications.

In particular I’m looking for something I can initially start remotely to begin when and then make a decision in a years time to go down the Visa route / citizenship route.

any guidance / advice would be great.

CTT+ Virtual Classroom Trainer Recording Requirements

Hey, all!

I'm on my way to completing the CTT+ and am in the process of getting a good recording of a session. I taught a session that I'm really proud of, but I noticed that the chat does not show up within the recording. Is it a requirement for the TKO-203? If it is a requirement, does anyone know how to make sure it is picked up within the recording on Zoom?

Best Case Practice for Teaching Security+ SY0 601 and will new training material be used for SY0 701

Good afternoon Cinners,

I'd appreciate some feedback pertaining to the teaching format of Security+. I'm training a course starting July 24th (Monday)

I'll be taaching 3.5 - 4hrs per day, 3 days per week. The goal is to complete 1 lesson per day. I do realize that each lesson has more than one topic, but I feel this may be doable.

The duration of the class will be 2 months. I can modify the training to whereas they do one or two topics in a lesson as homework, or I can go 4 days per week.

Do you think that 1 lesson in a 4 hour period is doable or should I use one of the other options I mentioned?

Lastly, will there be a new training version soon for the SY0 - 701?

Access Key has Expired

I have been participating in the CySA+ webinar and got the access key to access the eBook and certmaster Lab for 90 days and did not use the key until today when i wanted to redeem the access code. However it says the access key has expired.

Certifications passing rates

Greetings,

I couldn't find in the CIN posts information about average passing rates of CompTIA certs in post-secondary institutions.
We finished 2023 Q2 with 65.2% average passing rate for CompTIA, MS365, AWS Cloud Practitioner and Azure certs.
Is it possible for anyone here to share some figures?

Our school is looking to train the Security+ and Network+ plus course to individuals looking to retool their skills.

Looking at related information, I was calculating 80 hours a piece for each course. The participants would be your average computer user. Any thoughts?

Cybersecurity Employability

Hello CINERS,

I would like to train Security+, CySA+, but I'd like to know what is the likelhood of employablity with either one or the other certifications, but not both.

I just want to set the proper expectation of employment opprotunities with my students. Are you finding that individuals certified in either of the aformentioned certifications have been employed and what are the typical job roles. I've looked at the job roles on the CompTIA webpage, but are those realistic?
