  • Question
Project + TT

I recently finished the Project + Train the Trainer Series with Rick and Steve and it was a great session. I am now getting ready to schedule my exam and study. I have never formally taught any course and this will be my first. I had a few questions.

  • How may sessions and how many hours is the prep course for the exam? The same as the TT series? 8 - 2hour sessions?
  • What should an instructor charge for teaching per hour for an organization and what does an individual pay typically for the prep course?
  • Do I just use the documents in the toolkit to teach the course or do I need to create my own slides?

  • Also, if all this information is available anywhere, please let me know.

Project+ TTT

Yesterday, Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, was the final session for the
Project+ Train-the-Trainer. Each session was masterfully delivered
by the 2022 CompTIA Instructor of the Year, Mr. Rick Butler.

I would like to publicly thank Mr. Rick Butler for 8 superb sessions,
that allowed all attendees to be very engaged. There is no official
final survey for the overall sessions. However, I'm compelled to
provide my own unofficial evaluation. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10
being the hightest/best, I will conservatively rate the overall
Train-the-Trainer session a 15!!! The deeper we got into the content,
the more evident it was that the selection of this scholastic juggernaut,
to deliver this training, was no accident or coincidence. He was simply
the best/right choice!!!

Mr. Rick Butler, thank you for a magnificent learning experience. The
information that you provided during each 2-hour session was a
tremendous complement to the CompTIA material. Also, thank you
for the wonderful closeout. Concluding the final session with those PBQs
(Performance-Based Questions) was the pièce de résistance!!!

Voucher expiration dates - question

I'm trying to work in another exam by the end of the year when a particular TTT voucher expires, but I've also got work deadlines and family stuff and travel, lol. Do the voucher deadlines mean you have to use the voucher to purchase the exam by that date, or do the voucher deadlines mean you have to take the exam by that date? I want to make sure I get this voucher worked into my schedule without losing it, you know? Thanks!

November's Topic and GIVEAWAY!!

Hey everyone, we know that a lot of you are winding down your semesters and/or training programs, and since we are also approaching the end of the year, we feel it is time for some collaboration, and another GIVEAWAY! For this month, we want to make this more of an interactive “topic” and less of a question.

If you think back to your journey with your CompTIA solutions, what was a goal you had for your course/program, and how were you able to achieve that goal (or work towards) through your work within the CompTIA platforms?

Any and ALL answers are welcome, and we really want to make this interactive, so feel free to chime into each other’s responses, or our responses, if applicable. Each submission will enter you into the giveaway (for CompTIA “swag” or FREE content, your choice), and we will draw MULTIPLE winners at the end of the month. Thank you all and we look forward to hearing of some great feedback, testimonials and best practices that you are using today!

What electronic drawing tablet do CIN members recommend to teach with?

Hello to my fellow CIN Members,

I am looking into purchasing an electronic tablet to enable me to draw for students and/or mark up slides when appropriate using a battery free electronic pen (I surely don't want a battery type of electronic stylus since they only can hold a charge for a finite time frame, etc.). The one I'm looking at purchasing is this one: https://tinyurl.com/56jyhk6f but if any of you can recommend others, I'm all ears.

The one I'm considering purchasing via the above Amazon link is obviously a bit too large for portable use, but that's okay for me, I am willing to buy two, i.e., a larger unit like the above for use when teaching CompTIA courses via Zoom or a smaller portable sized used for use when traveling. I would ideally like to keep my price range for any such devices to be under $600 each.

Any recommendations to the above question would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Bob

CompTIA Instructors in the Middle East

Greetings Colleagues,

Comment Option in normal Exams? Do you miss it?

I took the Beta of Cysa+ last week, and there was on Option to comment on Questions.
I took A+ Core2 also, but there is no Option for Comments. That is sad, because there were two or three Questions, that would deserve a Comment.
One had to possible correct Answers, but did ask for only 1.
One had a Typo in the Text, somewhere...
There is then no way to report Errors back to CompTIA.

So i wonder, why Comptia does not allow (like others): Mark for Comment afterwards or directly in the Exam, but only in Beta..

What is your Opinion here?
