Is the CertMaster content enough to pass SecurityX exam

I've got 25 years IT experience and over 16 specializing in security, so I'm not coming into this completely ignorant. But in taking the unit quizzes and practice exam in CertMaster, the questions seem way different than the material I've been studying the last couple months. I'm also going through the TTT recordings now but that seems in line with the CM material.
Are the exercises relevant for the test? Also, is there a better alternative for learning what I need to pass the exam?
Thanks in advance!

How do you find the Account Executive for your university?

An admin, Stephen, said in one of his posts that that the best approach anytime anyone needs a voucher or discount is to reach out to their Account Executive. How do you find the Account Executive for your university? The Account Executive for DeVry University is no longer with CompTIA. How do I find the new Account Executive for DeVry University? I called the CompTIA Customer Support and they told me to reach out to my university to find out who the Account Executive is. However, I'm the contact! So, I cannot reach out to myself. Please help!

CEU's for SecurityX

I was wondering if anyone has some information and resources to CEU's that have been submitted in the past to update their SecurityX (CASP+) certification. I know CompTIA provides a list of options like CISM, or CISSP, but I'm sure there are other options, like courses and educational videos to participate in as well. Just trying to create a list of options for those who have passed their CASP but don't want to take a higher level certification.

Next CompTIA A+ TTT series and subsequent voucher(s)?

Hi CIN community (CINners?), and thanks in advance for the help!

As I'm setting up my profile and fulfilling the requirements for completion, I wanted to ask about the upcoming A+ TTT schedule and when the next round of exam vouchers will be available.

If this topic has already been covered, please feel free to point me to the right thread. Much appreciated!

CertMaster Practice for A+ Core 2: 220-1202 - Malware Removal Process Methodology Incorrect

Hello, everyone,

The CompTIA CertMaster Practice for A+ Core 2: 220-1202 answer explanations for the multiple-choice questions in objective 2.6 do not reflect the update from 7 malware removal steps in version 220-1102 to 10 malware removal steps in version 220-1202.

I recently opened a ticket with CompTIA Support to address this, but it was closed without any action taken. Students are quick to point out this discrepancy and are deterred from continuing to use CertMaster.

What would be the best way for the CompTIA product development team to quickly address this issue? The exam has been publicly available since March 2025, so I am surprised it has not been quickly fixed.

Thank you in advance.

Do CIN Members Get Discounts on CE Renewal Resources (e.g., Security+ CertMaster CE)?

Hi everyone,

I’m a member of the CompTIA Instructor Network (CIN) and I’m planning my CE renewals. Before I purchase any continuing education resources, I wanted to ask:

Do CIN members receive discounts on CE renewal materials or tools?
For example, the Security+ CertMaster CE is currently listed at around $200 — is there an instructor discount available through CIN for this or similar products?

If there are specific procedures or promo codes that CIN members should use to access these discounts, I’d really appreciate details.

Thanks in advance!

Exam prep

I'm an instructor for Penn Foster College. Since the CompTIA A+ exam is updated every few years, we need to revamp our course to ensure that we are properly educating students on the requirements for the exam. Is there any way we can determine the required material so that we can better develop and update our courses to meet the CompTIA expectations?

Compcert Courses -- Where's The Beef

I'm wondering if these "CompTIA Compcert courses" that are not tied to actual CompTIA certifications are going to result in opportunities for instructor work, teaching classes that at best result in a "certificate of attendance"? In my decades of teaching as well as selling new courses to employers, students, and curriculum committees, that path has been made much more successful because of the recognition of CompTIA as a "Certification Issuer".

Thoughts?

Steve
