Hello all,

Are there pacing guides for ITF+, A+, and Network + in the Instructor resources somewhere?

CompTIA Learning is looking for a CASP+ certified instructor to perform a "key check" of our forthcoming CertMaster Labs product for CASP+ (CAS-004). The key checker is responsible for progressing through the lab activities (hosted via Learn on Demand Systems) as a student would and noting any inaccuracies, confusing steps, or errors within the content. Our author will use this feedback to ensure our labs are ready for launch.

Compensation provided.

We are looking to begin work in early August and it will progress through September.

Please complete our application if you are interested. Thanks!

Empower your students with hands-on cybersecurity practice without building your own labs! As a cybersecurity instructor, you may be on the lookout for easily accessible ways for students to apply what they learned in class. CompTIA and the National Cyber League (NCL) present the CIN NCL Forum, providing information on the NCL bi-annual all-virtual competition, along with tutorials, webinars, blogs, lesson plans, how to use NCL as labwork, and connecting with the NCL Coaching Community. NCL coaches, feel free to share your NCL experience in this Forum!

NCL, powered by Cyber Skyline, helps high school and college students improve their cybersecurity capabilities in 9 categories, which are mapped to CompTIA’s certifications. The categories are: Open Source Intelligence, Cryptography, Password Cracking, Log Analysis, Network Traffic Analysis, Forensics, Web Application Exploitation, Scanning, and Enumeration & Exploitation.

Participating instructors and coaches receive free access to the NCL practice gym. The cost for students is only $35 per season, which includes access to the practice Gym, an optional Preseason Game, an Individual Game, an optional Team Game (up to 7 people), Slack channel, and a Scouting Report (which provides details on strengths and areas for improvement to prepare for a career in cybersecurity).

Registration for the Fall 2021 Season opens August 23, along with the practice Gym. The Preseason Game runs October 11-18; Individual Game is October 22-24; Team Game is November 5-7. Add a registration reminder to your calendar at this link.

More information is available at nationalcyberleague.org or by emailing [email protected].

Hi,

I got an email from the folks below. I am not able to go to NC that week.
I have no information about the job. I am just posting it if someone happens to be interested.

If you are interested, please contact them directly. I have no association with them, just posting it for them.

I just purchased an academy partner A+ voucher for $106.00US and noticed there is now a $12.72 tax, so the total bill came $118.72 US.
I purchased an A+ voucher in June for $106.00 US, no tax.
Something change recently?

Thanks,

Hi Guys,

I recorded a portion of my actual class session today to submit it and hopefully pass the TK0-202 (classroom performance-based exam). You can watch it here: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AvC-mif_Iw336gwMlPnBfXmdeBzO?e=DYSI8k

I know many of you here are already CTT+ and I just wanted to get some feedback about my video. I want to know if this will suffice or if I need to record another one.

I'm hoping that you can help me out on this. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts.

Thank you in advance.

- Ivan Jude.

Please tell me that I'm wrong but isn't it time for Ring Topology to be removed from the Network+ objectives? I understand that there are things left in the objectives that are relevant and still in use but not sure about this one. I do see that Cat 3 cabling is gone though.

Came to my attention in my inbox today a splash of comptia cooking a new certification: DATA+
SQL and Python are among the disciplines in the exam objectives.
Would comptia ever consider a programming fundamentals certification now that is so important for both cloud and cybersecurity (more on the latter )
What are your thoughts?

CompTIA has signed on as a sponsor of the US Cyber Games, a national program created to inspire the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through training and competitions, culminating in the inaugural International Cybersecurity Challenge in Athens, Greece, this December. Pretty cool. Check out the press release: https://www.comptia.org/newsroom/pr...mes-welcomes-comptia-as-a-contributor-sponsor

The attached is an effort where I'm mapping rooms on the TryHackMe site to specific exam objectives for the SY0-601 exam for inclusion in my efforts to build supplemental content for the fall Security+ courses I'll be teaching. You may find this useful.

All,
How do I go about changing my profile / user login email address. Been looking through the account settings, can't find anywhere to do it. I'm not affiliated with the college and the college email address that I originally signed up with and would like to change it to my new college.
Thanks in advance!
