How to upgrade from the Network+ (N10-008) to Network+ (N10-009)?

We're trying to figure out how to upgrade and use the new Network+ (N10-009). Do we need to buy a new Network+ (N10-009) product for this? Or can CompTIA upgrade our current Network+ (N10-008)?

Also, it seems that the credentials to the https://learn.comptia.org/ are not working for the new platform https://platform.comptia.org. When try to create a new account, there is a need of Access key, which probably will come with new purchase? the old access key does not work.

Some guidance from experts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
These are some great questions, @Muhammad Usman Younas. It would be best for you to have a conversation with your Customer Success manager, as he can answer your questions about the upgrade plan and assist with your access issues on the platform. I just sent an email to Leon, connecting you two directly. I hope this helps and that your issues on licensing and the platform are resolved quickly.

If you attend the webinar, they will send you an access key to access the content for the new version of Network+.
Great. Thanks. The access to the New Network+ will be a trail access or permanent access? or Can CompTIA to provide access to our all students also who are using the Network+ old version?

Seeking Advice! First-Time CompTIA Trainer!

Reflecting on Your First Training:

When I first started training, particularly during my initial sessions as a Cybersecurity & Network Instructor faced several challenges. One of the main hurdles was adapting complex cybersecurity concepts into digestible, actionable skills for students. I was nervous about striking the right balance between technical depth and practical application.

To handle these initial uncertainties, I focused on thorough preparation. I spent extra time reviewing the curriculum and anticipating potential questions. I also reminded myself of my extensive IT leadership experience, which gave me confidence in my knowledge base. To manage nerves, I practiced deep breathing techniques before each session and reminded myself that my goal was to help students succeed, which helped shift my focus from self-doubt to student engagement.

Current Strategies for Quality Training:

Over time, my teaching methods have significantly evolved. I've moved from a more traditional lecture-style approach to a blended learning model that combines e-learning with hands-on labs. This shift has been incredibly effective – student engagement increased by 40%, and certification pass rates improved from 25% to 38% within the first semester of implementation.

Some key strategies I now employ include:

  1. Real-world scenario integration: I redesigned the curriculum to include actual cybersecurity scenarios, which has increased student preparedness scores by 30%.
  2. Data-driven assessment: I implemented a system to track student progress, allowing for early intervention with at-risk students. This reduced dropout rates by 15%.
  3. Interactive learning: I use tools like Canvas LMS to create more engaging content and improve instructor efficiency by 25%.
  4. Industry partnerships: I've established relationships with local IT companies, creating internship opportunities that have resulted in a 15% job placement rate for graduates.
  5. Continuous improvement: I regularly seek feedback from students and adjust my methods accordingly. This has led to an increase in student satisfaction scores from 3.2 to 4.1 out of 5.
  6. Personalized attention: With the data-driven approach, I can identify struggling students early and provide targeted support.

These strategies have not only made my training sessions more engaging and effective but have also significantly improved student outcomes in terms of certification pass rates and job placements.
Great insight, Don!

Thanks a ton for the awesome advice! Your journey from early challenges to amazing successes is really inspiring. I'm a bit nervous because it's my first training session, and my trainees are experienced IT professionals. I want to ensure I deliver high-quality training that meets their expectations.
I’m looking forward to trying out your strategies, especially using real-world scenarios and interactive learning. Your support means a lot to me, and I can’t wait to grow more as a trainer. Thanks again for everything!

Question - TestOut Lab 8.3.6 SNMP

In the TestOut Network+ laboratory 8.3.6 - Quiz Question #2, it asks:
What types of network interface data were reported to the management system over SNMP?

I happen to know the answer to the question - Utilization and Discards - coming from CCNA.
However, need guidance on how to show it to the students via the OpenNMS from the TestOut Lab.
Kindly advise. Thanks!

Thanks @Rick Butler for saying, the speaker is the "star of the show."
That's a key perspective, because we get so wrapped up in making presos that we think should impact our students by just seeing them that we forget that they can never replace what we bring.

We cannot ignore issues related to copyright. Not every graphic or image is easy to create and copying them from other sources (without permission) is also not legal. Maybe we can use generative AI to help us... &;-D
I always check if images are licensed for public use and can be modified and used commercially.
With generative AI - there is discussion if AI or the person who created the AI becomes the copyright owner OR if from training data it "copied without permission" from someone else. This is one of the interesting questions, I'm waiting to see play out in legal circles. - While I wait for the legal wrangling, I am continuing to draw diagrams on a whiteboard. Even when the diagram is rudimentary, the learners watch it develop and often ask questions that influence my final drawing. Thanks @Rick Butler for saying, the speaker is the "star of the show."
