When is TestOut going to merge with CertMaster?

It's already been merged. The only courses still available on CertMaster are those that haven’t been updated yet. I have access to both platforms, and currently, TestOut includes all the courses listed on the official CompTIA site. CertMaster only hosts courses for certifications that haven’t changed versions. As certifications continue to get updated, they will be removed from CertMaster and made available exclusively on TestOut—until eventually, CertMaster is phased out entirely. A+ and Network+ v009 are on TestOut already

Updated class room to iMac M4 from Windows Surface

Well, I just stepped up to an Alienware M18. Probably won't need anything more for about another five years.
Plus, you can always overclock it to get more performance and longevity out of it.
Of course, I recently did this too.

New E-Commerce Store Tutorials

Hi Stephen, thanks for the videos — they’re really helpful.

I’m not sure if I’m addressing the right person, but one thing that’s been triggering my OCD is how the certifications are displayed on the page. Right now, they seem scattered and listed alphabetically, which doesn’t feel intuitive. I put together a simple mock-up that groups them by certification type, which I think makes more sense.

Hopefully, this small piece of feedback can help improve the experience for everyone as the new website takes shape.
Hi @tir.and thanks for post. I am not sure if this helps any, but at the top of the Certification page it does list the various categories for certifications. It defaults to "All", but you could select a specific track. Does that help?

Your screenshot made me do a backtake and go figure out what "CompTIA Linux Pro" is supposed to be.

Turns out it's a training resource that I was completely unfamiliar with -> https://www.comptia.org/en-us/certifications/linux-pro/

And it looks like it's actually pretty affordable, at $65 for a year. That's really not too bad.

Is this rebranded TestOut stuff? I think so, right?
Yes, @Tess Sluijter you are correct. Any of the titles including "Pro" in the name, are the rebranded TestOut products.

Academic Pricing for CompTIA Academic Partners Currently Unavailable

On Thursday I spent 41 minutes on a call with CompTIA trying to straighten out my academic pricing. For me it had a link on the right side after I carted what I thought was the right thing. It said something along the lines of Student, check for discount. You have to upload an approved document thought SheerID but it did allow for my discount to go though after the verification process. Unfortunately, all CompTIA products are on the same page which makes it terribly confusing and I ended up buying 5 of the wrong item while trying to buy vouchers!

Advice for people soliciting for trainers

If you want to get some responses to your solicitations for trainers, please remember to do the following:

1. Be specific in what you're looking for. Is the assignment contract work, part-time, or full-time? Do you require that the trainer be certified in the latest version, or just have an active certification that is maintained through CEUs? Do you require a degree? Does the assignment require TS/SCI clearance? Is the assignment onsite or virtual? Do you want local trainers, or will you accept distant or even overseas trainers? In which time zone will the training take place? In what language will the training be conducted?

2. Post a pay range for your budget. It saves you time and it saves the trainers time. If you have a limited budget, there may be trainers who will bid on the job. But more experienced trainers with high demand won't get tied up for an assignment that ultimately they won't accept.

3. Respond in a timely manner. If you post on this site, but take a week to respond to questions or comments, don't be surprised if you see little interest in the assignment.
Well done Greg!

CompTIA Security+ Trainer required Nigeria

A CompTIA partner is looking for a certified, experienced trainer to deliver training for a client. They should be certified in Security+ and familiar with official CompTIA tools e.g CM Learn & Labs. DM me with your details if you qualify and I can do an introduction.

A+ 12 series TTT

For those of us who signed up for the A+ Core 1 TTT and participated, is it too late to catch up on the series for the voucher? I noticed when I clicked on one of the archived videos I watch in the series, the system made me re-register.

The two weeks for the A+ Core 2 voucher have just started, so I am catching up now that I finished a week long middle school robotics coding summer camp.
I'm afraid so, mate. The window for Core 1 closed on May 15.

New E-Commerce Store Tutorials

CompTIA launched its new website and e-commerce store on Tuesday this week. I have seen a few questions about the site and making purchases.
There have been a number of videos created to help users walk through several areas of the new website.

The topics for these videos include:
Please note that this currently just affects U.S. customers. The International store will be launching a little later this year. If you are having issues trying to place an order, you need to reach out to your account representative. I hope these videos will be able to answer some questions and are helpful.

Thank you,
Stephen
@Stephen this is very helpful. Those of us outside the US we are waiting patiently to be rolled onto the new CompTIA store

No Tech+ ID card?

I just received my certificate for passing Tech+. Thanks, CIN and TTT, for the voucher!

Sadly, there was only a certificate and no plastic card to add to my stack. Is this unique to Tech+, or are we losing the cards going forward? I like my collection of red and white CompTIA IDs and want to keep growing the stack!
Congratulations
