So to put it another way...

The asset is the snacks on the snack table.
The vulnerability is just how so very accessible they are, just sitting there in the open.
The threat is when @Trevor Chandler comes by to take the snacks.
The loss is when the rest of us don't get them.

So how do we mitigate this vulnerability...?

This is too original to have come from any webpage, or any textbook. I'd like your permission to use this the next time I'm covering these terms!!!

Please help me with A+ materials links, I have a class starting next week

Dear all,
Please, I am looking for some instructor materials for the A+ course. But I am unable to find it.

Anything will help to deliver- PPTs, Ebooks, labs, demos;s.

Please can anyone help me with that?
I you are a registered instructor, you should have access to everything.

You can get the CompTIA material that has Instructor slides in it and then look at the other options to help you along the way. I actual teach mine not using PPTs and stuff necessarily....if you are that good with the ,materials. I take students on an adventure in computer building or cmd line items, etc. Trying to get better at the higher level courses myself.

So, you can go to the Train the Trainer sessions done by Allen Stubblefield a couple years back for A+ 220-1101 TTT and A+ 220-1102 TTT. In the resources area of the sessions, you can find some things to help you construct your own. I do not recommend using the TTT presentations themselves, since they are more tilted to training other instructors, not students.

Beyond that, you'll want to reach out to your CompTIA Business Development Manager. If you're a Partner, you can get 30 day comp access to materials, which should be enough to do what you need to do.

And if you use the Objectives sheet, you can just put together materials on a domain-by-domain basis relatively quickly.

Network+ and Security+ Capstone Projects

I used to use capstone projects for my Network+ classes back in the day - one of which involved setting up a campus network for a multi-building layout.

For security+, I used to have small hacking challenges that would lead to students being able to take their final with the answer key - if they could bust through the challenges.

I'll have to look around and see if I still have this material - it was some time ago and it may be dated.
Anything you can find would be of assistance and greatly appreciated to help guide me in creating something new for them. Im basically looking for a guideline to use so I know I'm on a correct path without just throwing something together.

CA1-005: CompTIA SecurityX Certification Beta Exam

I passed the SecurityX beta but failed the PenTest+ beta. It's been a looooong time since I failed any CompTIA exam.

When I pass a CompTIA exam, I receive an email from Credly before I receive an email from CompTIA. Since I've received no emails yet, I'm assuming the exam results have not officially migrated from Pearson VUE to CompTIA yet.
