Hello everyone,

I finished all of the 1101 Train the Trainer pre-recorded sessions on July 8th of this year. I understand that it takes two weeks after completion to get a voucher and that everyone at CompTIA is busy. Can anyone tell me about how long it took you to receive one so I know what to expect. I have the completion certificates from each session. Do I need to provide them to someone?

I am offering a PC hardware/CompTIA A+ class in my high school and need help with how to identify the cost of the CertMaster products and what I need to purchase. I've downloaded the Academic Price List pdf, but I don't know if these prices apply to me, as an academic partner. I'm a bit confused, and submitting a help ticket didn't help.

I'm looking at the CompTIA Integrated CertMaster Learn + Labs for A+ Core 1 and Core 2 (220-1101 and 220-1102). I have 7 students in the class.

Can anyone help?

Fellow Instructors,

In Security+ and again in CySA+ (and CASP+) students need to understand how the www works. I often use Virustotal dot com to briefly demo how to investigate suspect urls and files. I found another web based (free to use) tool that helps explain more. That's urlscan dot io. I should provide a hat tp to some of my SOC colleagues from LinkedIn who have been pointing at this for a few weeks.


A user submits a url and urlscan goes off and scans the site. I chose to scan comptia.org.


The scan returns info about the site and http transactions (with associated response codes). Note CompTIA dot org is being served (to me) via an IPv6 address in the USA. You can show all of the elements that make up a web page. You can show the site certificates and check their expiration. Another great capability is to show the DOM scripts served from the site to the client browser.



Warning: Make sure that you scan the site in advance and develop your own 'script' about which fields you are going to share with students. There is a ton of info here and you want to avoid having students asking about each and every field.

That said I was able to turn this into a short (less than 10 minutes) demo that graphically links different concepts important to the course.

What are your thoughts on Using Testout for 1101 and 1102 as the main resource? How would you rate there practice tests to the real exams?

We are a Private Vocational School and Authorized Training Partners of CompTIA.org located in Edison, NJ. We need a Part time Faculty to train on CompTIA certifications to adult students on Cybersecurity programs - Remote and In Classroom at our facility.

Here is a fun game to help memorize A+ 1101 ports.
(there are some ports in the game that aren't on the U.S.A version of the test, but it still helps to use a process of elimination)

I went through some videos Comptia Certmaster CYSA+003 ,they are really intersting and useful and linked to the practical senareos in real life ,in some vidoes an employee from MITRE company expaned how to use the tools and creating reports in cybersecurity that was amazing and rich in knowldge .

I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for resources to help me prepare for the new version of the CompTIA CySA+ exam. I'm particularly interested in PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, labs, and homework assignments. If you know of any resources that are available, please let me know. I'm also open to suggestions on where I can purchase these resources.

I just finished this lab tonight (7/18/23) with less than 10 mins on the clock. I loved how CertLabs popped up a notification that says, "Would you like to add 15 additional minutes to the lab?" That's a nice touch! That's really good for the student who has test taking anxiety and feels like the clock is always against them.

I would like to know if CompTIA is facing any challenges in shipping certificates, My Pen Test+ certificate in certmetrics shows that it was shipped on 12th January, 2023 but up to now I have not received it.

The are a lot of great resources here. I am really looking for some resources that are free that I can supply for my students to to practice for CompTIA exams or really any other National Certifications. Looking for resources that will help student practice for the exam, of course not just memorizing questions.
