TTT Security+

If you view the on-demand sessions for the Security+ TTT series, you will be able to print a Proof of Attendance certificate for each session. You can use that as professional development proof if your employer requires it. You can also use it as CEU credit for updating your certifications.

Would there be a certificate after completing the TTT security+ sessions?

How often do you teach each of the CompTIA courses per year?

The certifications I currently hold were obtained because they were required by the university where I teach (a Full CompTIA Academic Partner). These include A+ (though it has been years since I last taught it), Network+, Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, Security-X, Cloud+, Linux+, and Server+. It’s important to note that I don’t teach standalone CompTIA certification classes. Instead, we developed degree courses in which CompTIA content (delivered through either CertMaster or TestOut) is integrated into lectures, quizzes, and labs. Each course includes a weekly two-hour class session dedicated to reviewing material and guiding students through that week’s labs.

While the courses themselves run for eight weeks, students retain access to CertMaster or TestOut for an additional ten months—providing them with a full year of access to the resources. As of this moment I teach classes that use official material for Network+, Server+, Linux+, Security+, and CySA+. I finished developing the courses the will use Security X, Pentest+, and Cloud+ so as soon as those courses go live in the associate and bachelor degree I will be teaching them frequently. Each class is a 3 credit course and I teach between 15-21 credits per semester and about 12 in the summer.

New link to the CompTIA IT Certifications Roadmap

Hi everyone

Until last month, the link to the CompTIA IT Certifications Roadmap below worked very well. I always used this in CompTIA Data+ classes to encourage my students to go further for professional development:

I navigated to this link today and it takes me to this page:

Has the IT certification roadmap been hosted somewhere else or has it been removed altogether? It was a very useful resource.

Now Available: PDF of A+ Core 1 and Core 2 CertMaster Perform V15

Hello All,

One of my students brought this to my attention, and I am passing it along as it appears to be a newly added resource on 9/3/25(per the metadata on PDF). Some
months ago I recall many wanted an ebook for this course, not sure if that’s the official intent of this resource, but it is a 737 page PDF of the Perform without the labs and videos. It is located under the 3 vertical dots menu (see photos), at the very bottom
under Resources>Reference>Course PDF.

Thanks for the info.
The learning materials were previously named as "accessibility document". It is good that they have now named it as "course PDF" instead.

A few months ago (after the purchase of CompTIA), there had even been queries if the learning resources would be sold separately. I'm glad to see that this is not the case. (y)

Operating Systems in Module 11

I understand your point. It would have been good to have 11.3 as a separate Module.

However, I reckon that they placed 11.3 Types of OS under "Managing Support" so that the students would know the various OS that they may need to support, along with the (11.3.6) OS compatibility issues, (11.3.7) Vendor life-cycle limitations) and how it ties up in (11.3.8) managing a support ticket

Meanwhile, did you notice that there's no 11.4? From 11.3, it jumped to 11.5 Additional resources.
The only item that has 11.4 tag is challenge live lab: resolve help desk tickets.
Yeah, I noticed they do that with several modules. I don't really care for it. And they put some of the material in additional resources that I feel should really be placed with the rest of the material instead of being treated as supplemental.

LOST ACCESS TO OLD EMAIL

Please when you're assisted CompTIA Support let us know so we can learn the procedure.
Who do you ask Rick Butler or me? CompTIA Support does not read here. This is something, that should not happen. And when, the instructor should not ask a trainer Forum for solving this. The first thing is to contact the CompTIA Support (from the Student). And as i said: Advise students to use a private Mail Account, and then, use th scholl/ University account as business contact..

Operating Systems in Module 11

Why does CompTIA even include operating systems in A+ 1202 module 11? I'm not sure what they provide in the module belongs under Managing Support Procedures. Am I just crazy or does anyone else agree? I'm putting that change into CompTIA anyways, but just wanted to get some opinions. And please don't give me that "If your an instructor, then you should take this as an opportunity to inform your students." answer. It's really not helpful.
