Hi team

when we are receiving the vouchers of network series please update?

I've been wondering what the next TT after PenTest will be. Is there any information on that?

Is there a way to create Comptia Class like Cisco Netacad Class?

For someone to become a trainer do you think its vital to the have CTT+ certification?

Or is there other avenues to qualify yourself....

Hello, I currently provide security consultation for MOD and I need to prepare training material for them. Is it possible I can get help with some training tools and materials and possibly some guidance for them?

Can any one help or advise please?

Hi All

There's an opportunity available for an in-person / in-classroom certification prep session for the CompTIA ITF+ (IT Fundamentals FC0-U61) in the state of Nevada, USA.

Feb 7-11
5 students

If you are certified, in Nevada and available on those dates, please let me know here and I'll contact you via private message.

Regards

I missed two sessions and I have searched for the emails for these two sessions and I have not been able to locate them. I have the other 10 completed.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Please can someone send me the link or videos for CompTIA Sec+ SYO 601 Train the Trainer (TTT).

Can someone suggest to me the best course to recommend to someone who works with Insurance company and wants to take a course that will help him to develop cyber security insurance policy for his company and clients.
The person is not an IT person but Insurance Professional.

Hello, can anyone provide a link to the CompTIA A+ train the trainer videos?

Happy New Year to all 2022, With a lot of blessing and success!

Just wanted to get out here and wish you, one and all, a most joyous holiday season! However you decide to celebrate or if you do at all, however you do - hopefully you and yours have a great season! Looking forward to a great 2022, with the upcoming TTT sessions!

All the best, y'all!

Rick

There is an Error in the Achiements:
You recieve Level 3 before Level 2....

So, no one noticed in 3 Years here this Error?
Will there be an Achievement: Found an Error?

Michael

Just look throught Achivements Section, and i believe some Achivements could use a Link for Helo or a better Explanation..

I struggle with this one:

Settling In: User has Cover Photo:
I uploaded one, but it will not be recognised..

Account Complete:

This is something with the About Section ( under Account Details)

I filled everything out (why is Facebook, Skype a requirement?, so there is a "nothing to read here" In-line)

But it is not activated.

Forum Watcher:

how to recieve this one? Have you to read all postings in all Sub Forums?
Or how will you get that one?

Media Uploader?
Just load any Picture up in the Media Tab?
Or Ressources? Also upload just anything?
Does anyone have an Idea?

Michael

Sorry, this should be moved probably to CIN - Open Forums.

I don`t know, if you read the Registration for the upcoming Pentest TTT:

NEW in 2022! In order to qualify to receive an exam voucher as part of the CIN TTT series you will need to be an active CIN member and a CompTIA training partner. More details will be provided during Session 1 of the series.

Would like to know how to solve that before the Sessions starts.
Anyone done that as a Freelancer yet?

This will be a big change for the TTTs..

Michael

Hi everyone,

If you got a LinkedIn account, connect with me there (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jarrelrivera/).
I'll be giving FREE access to my Cisco OSPF course at LinkedIn Learning this week.

I am unable to share the LinkedIn Learning link outside of LinkedIn so let us then just connect there.
Leave me a message that you are a CINer and I'll readily connect with you.

Thank you so much T Lee McWhorter and Stephen Schneiter for the job well done. CASP CAS-004 TTT webner was awesome. I have learnt a lot and looking forward to harness the knowledge imparted.

Big up too Rich Buttler.

Join the CompTIA Instructor Network as we welcome Lee McWhorter who will lead our PenTest+ PT0-002 TTT series. The series will consist of twelve sessions covering the PenTest+ exam domains. Lee will teach the key cybersecurity concepts covered on the exam as well as hands-on activities with key technology tools used by cybersecurity professionals.

We will also discuss instructional strategy for presenting the concepts to students and best practices for implementing a PenTest+ course.

PenTest+ assesses the most up-to-date penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment and management skills necessary to determine the resiliency of the network against attacks. The CompTIA PenTest+ certification exam will verify successful candidates have the knowledge and skills required to:

• Plan and scope a penetration testing engagement
• Understand legal and compliance requirements
• Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing using appropriate tools and techniques, and then analyze the results
• Produce a written report containing proposed remediation techniques, effectively communicate results to the management team, and provide practical recommendations

What: 12-session webinar series
When: Jan. 18 – Mar. 03, 2022
Where: ON24

How does one prove if his subnetting is correct?

for example on 172.16.0.0 and I'm making 11 networks

How do I prove that what I'm doing is correct? I hope I'm making sense

Morning all!

I just woke up and was greeted by a panicked student on Discord: they learned that, without much prior notice, CompTIA and PearsonVue have changed up their login methods.

-> https://home.pearsonvue.com/Clients/CompTIA.aspx

CompTIA has migrated to single sign-on (SSO) to unify your CompTIA accounts and products under one login. All candidate records will now be accessible through the CompTIA sign on page. Clicking on the "Login" button will take you from Pearson VUE to the new site where your registration process will now begin.

This may surprise a lot of people at the worst possible time.

Having to reset your account and password, just before taking your exam, is going to be a very bad and anxious situation for a lot of people.

What's even worse is that, so far, the password reset functionality is also not working. I have requested a new password multiple times, but no emails show up. And yes, the email address is correct because the "New Account" option tells me that address is taken.

I am completing my first semester using CertMaster Security+ as the basis of our "Information Security Fundamentals" course and need to assign letter grades at the end of the semester based on the results from the Boost Dashboard. This dashboard shows average PBQ, Quiz and Lab scores for each student, as well as the level of proficiency they have achieved in each module.

Has anyone yet mapped this output to appropriate letter grades, A, B, C, D, F?

I am thinking completion with an average across categories >= 90% AND median "Proficient" Proficiency, across all modules is an "A",
< 90% OR median < Proficient = "B".
Completion and >= 80% = "C"
Completion = "D"
and Incomplete = "F"

Any other ideas?
